KIRSTIN MALMAS, OT

Kirstin graduated from the University of the Fraser Valley in 2019 with a bachelor’s in Kinesiology, focusing on exercise science. In August 2026, she graduated from the University of British Columbia with her Master’s in Occupational herapy.

As a Kin she worked in aquatic rehab, concussion recovery, post-motor vehicle accident active rehab, and long-term care support. She also completed physical demands analysis, pre-employment fitness testing, and return-to-work programming. While working closely with our Occupational Therapists she discovered her love for OT, and pursued her degree at UBC.

Kirstin started working for the company in 2022 as a lead kinesiologist and is now in her new role as an OT! She has a passion for helping people navigate grief and the physical and mental health challenges that arise from not being able to engage in their day-to-day activities.

Kirstin and her family moved to Kamloops when she started working for Smart. When she's not at work she will most likely be outside, doing some sort of adrenaline seeking hobby, she’s got one for each season.
